Baptism, as I perceive it is to be born again into the grace of God. It makes sense that whenever there is rain, boat capsizing, or any kind of accidental outing in water where one lives and has an epiphany, it is baptism. They often emerge from such instances with no vigor for life and an overall changed outlook on life.
Like Santa in the North Pole, when things symbolically go up, they’re considered good. But when things go south, that’s an entirely different story. It wasn’t really a surprise when I read the geography chapter that this was mentioned. When an author writes a story, it’s not necessarily the physical make up of an area that counts, but also the location itself, in respects to whether it’s on the northern/southern hemisphere. As well as season, as the next chapter emphasizes. Winter symbolizing cold, death, ending. Spring being new life, rebirth, and beginnings.
