Ch. 11-15
It was an odd thing to know that Amir lived in Fremont, close to where we live, and, relatively speaking, close to our present time period. As ignorant as it sounds, I couldn't believe that all these terrible were still going on even so late in the 20th century. It was a scary, bubble-bursting moment that just proved just because you don't see or witness something doesn't mean it isn't happening.
It made me happy that Amir was finally able to write and make a career out of it. As well as his blossoming infatuation with Soraya that eventually turned into a marriage that pleased Baba whom was on his deathbed.
When he returns to Pakistan I sincerely hoped that he could right the wrongs between himself and Hassen.
